الْحَمْدُal-ḥamdu
All praises
لِلَّهِlillahi
(be) to Allah
الَّذِيalladhī
the One to Whom belongs
لَهُlahu
the One to Whom belongs
مَاmā
whatever
فِيfī
(is) in
السَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti
the heavens
وَمَاwamā
and whatever
فِيfī
(is) in
الْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth,
وَلَهُwalahu
and for Him
الْحَمْدُl-ḥamdu
(are) all praises
فِيfī
In
الْءَاخِرَةِl-ākhirati
the Hereafter.
وَهُوَwahuwa
And He
الْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmu
(is) the All-Wise,
الْخَبِيرُl-khabīru
the All-Aware.
Praise be to God, to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and earth, and praise be to Him in the life to come. He is the All Wise, the All Aware.

يَعْلَمُyaʿlamu
He knows
مَاmā
what
يَلِجُyaliju
penetrates
فِيfī
in
الْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth
وَمَاwamā
and what
يَخْرُجُyakhruju
comes out
مِنْهَاmin'hā
from it,
وَمَاwamā
and what
يَنْزِلُyanzilu
descends
مِنَmina
from
السَّمَاءِl-samāi
the heaven
وَمَاwamā
and what
يَعْرُجُyaʿruju
ascends
فِيهَاfīhā
therein.
وَهُوَwahuwa
And He
الرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmu
(is) the Most Merciful,
الْغَفُورُl-ghafūru
the Oft-Forgiving.
He knows all that goes into the earth and all that comes out of it; He knows all that comes down from the heavens and all that goes up to them. He is the Merciful, the Forgiving.

وَقَالَwaqāla
But say
الَّذِينَalladhīna
those who
كَفَرُواkafarū
disbelieve,
لَاlā
"Not
تَأْتِينَاtatīnā
will come to us
السَّاعَةُl-sāʿatu
the Hour."
قُلْqul
Say,
بَلَىbalā
"Nay,
وَرَبِّيwarabbī
by my Lord
لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْlatatiyannakum
surely it will come to you.
عَالِمِʿālimi
(He is the) Knower
الْغَيْبِl-ghaybi
(of) the unseen."
لَاlā
Not
يَعْزُبُyaʿzubu
escapes
عَنْهُʿanhu
from Him
مِثْقَالُmith'qālu
(the) weight
ذَرَّةٍdharratin
(of) an atom
فِيfī
in
السَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti
the heavens
وَلَاwalā
and not
فِيfī
in
الْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth
وَلَاwalā
and not
أَصْغَرُaṣgharu
smaller
مِنْmin
than
ذَلِكَdhālika
that
وَلَاwalā
and not
أَكْبَرُakbaru
greater,
إِلَّاillā
but
فِيfī
(is) in
كِتَابٍkitābin
a Record
مُبِينٍmubīnin
Clear.
Still, the disbelievers say, ‘The Last Hour will never come upon us.’ Say, ‘Yes, by my Lord, [it will], by Him who knows the unseen! Not even the weight of a speck of dust in the heavens or earth escapes His knowledge, nor anything smaller or greater. It is all recorded in a clear Record

لِيَجْزِيَliyajziya
That He may reward
الَّذِينَalladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُواāmanū
believe
وَعَمِلُواwaʿamilū
and do
الصَّالِحَاتِl-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds.
أُولَئِكَulāika
Those -
لَهُمْlahum
for them
مَغْفِرَةٌmaghfiratun
(will be) forgiveness
وَرِزْقٌwariz'qun
and a provision
كَرِيمٌkarīmun
noble.
so that He can reward those who believe and do good deeds: they will have forgiveness and generous provision.’
5
وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīna
But those who
سَعَوْاsaʿaw
strive
فِيfī
against
ءَايَاتِنَاāyātinā
Our Verses
مُعَاجِزِينَmuʿājizīna
(to) cause failure -
أُولَئِكَulāika
those -
لَهُمْlahum
for them
عَذَابٌʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
مِنْmin
of
رِجْزٍrij'zin
foul nature,
أَلِيمٌalīmun
painful.
But as for those who work against Our Revelations, seeking to undermine them, there will be a torment of painful suffering.
6
وَيَرَىwayarā
And see
الَّذِينَalladhīna
those who
أُوتُواūtū
have been given
الْعِلْمَl-ʿil'ma
the knowledge,
الَّذِيalladhī
(that) what
أُنْزِلَunzila
is revealed
إِلَيْكَilayka
to you
مِنْmin
from
رَبِّكَrabbika
your Lord
هُوَhuwa
[it]
الْحَقَّl-ḥaqa
(is) the Truth,
وَيَهْدِيwayahdī
and it guides
إِلَىilā
to
صِرَاطِṣirāṭi
(the) Path
الْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi
(of) the All-Mighty,
الْحَمِيدِl-ḥamīdi
the Praiseworthy.
[Prophet], those who have been given knowledge can see that what has been sent to you from your Lord is the truth, and that it leads to the path of the Almighty, worthy of all praise.
7
وَقَالَwaqāla
But say
الَّذِينَalladhīna
those who
كَفَرُواkafarū
disbelieve,
هَلْhal
"Shall
نَدُلُّكُمْnadullukum
we direct you
عَلَىʿalā
to
رَجُلٍrajulin
a man
يُنَبِّئُكُمْyunabbi-ukum
who informs you
إِذَاidhā
when
مُزِّقْتُمْmuzziq'tum
you have disintegrated
كُلَّkulla
(in) total
مُمَزَّقٍmumazzaqin
disintegration,
إِنَّكُمْinnakum
indeed you
لَفِيlafī
surely (will be) in
خَلْقٍkhalqin
a creation
جَدِيدٍjadīdin
new?
But the disbelievers say, ‘Shall we show you a man who claims that, when you have been utterly torn to pieces, you will be raised in a new creation?
8
أَفْتَرَىaftarā
Has he invented
عَلَىʿalā
about
اللَّهِl-lahi
Allah
كَذِبًاkadhiban
a lie
أَمْam
or
بِهِbihi
in him
جِنَّةٌjinnatun
(is) madness?"
بَلِbali
Nay,
الَّذِينَalladhīna
those who
لَاlā
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna
believe
بِالْءَاخِرَةِbil-ākhirati
in the Hereafter
فِيfī
(will be) in
الْعَذَابِl-ʿadhābi
the punishment
وَالضَّلَالِwal-ḍalāli
and error
الْبَعِيدِl-baʿīdi
far.
Has he invented a lie about God? Is he mad?’ No! It is those who do not believe in the life to come who will suffer torment, for they are in gross error.
9
أَفَلَمْafalam
Then, do not
يَرَوْاyaraw
they see
إِلَىilā
towards
مَاmā
what
بَيْنَbayna
(is) before them
أَيْدِيهِمْaydīhim
(is) before them
وَمَاwamā
and what
خَلْفَهُمْkhalfahum
(is) behind them
مِنَmina
of
السَّمَاءِl-samāi
the heaven
وَالْأَرْضِwal-arḍi
and the earth?
إِنْin
If
نَشَأْnasha
We will
نَخْسِفْnakhsif
We (could) cause to swallow them
بِهِمُbihimu
We (could) cause to swallow them
الْأَرْضَl-arḍa
the earth
أَوْaw
or
نُسْقِطْnus'qiṭ
cause to fall
عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
upon them
كِسَفًاkisafan
fragments
مِنَmina
from
السَّمَاءِl-samāi
the sky.
إِنَّinna
Indeed,
فِيfī
in
ذَلِكَdhālika
that
لَءَايَةًlaāyatan
surely, is a Sign
لِكُلِّlikulli
for every
عَبْدٍʿabdin
slave
مُنِيبٍmunībin
who turns (to Allah).
Do they not think about what is in front of them and behind them in the heavens and earth? If We wished, We could make the earth swallow them, or make fragments from the heavens fall down upon them. There truly is a sign in this for every servant who turns back to God in repentance.
10
وَلَقَدْwalaqad
And certainly,
ءَاتَيْنَاātaynā
We gave
دَاوُدَdāwūda
Dawood
مِنَّاminnā
from Us
فَضْلًاfaḍlan
Bounty.
يَاجِبَالُyājibālu
"O mountains!
أَوِّبِيawwibī
Repeat praises
مَعَهُmaʿahu
with him,
وَالطَّيْرَwal-ṭayra
and the birds."
وَأَلَنَّاwa-alannā
And We made pliable
لَهُlahu
for him
الْحَدِيدَl-ḥadīda
[the] iron,
We graced David with Our favour. We said, ‘You mountains, echo God’s praises together with him, and you birds, too.’ We softened iron for him,
