Ya Seen.
Ya Sin
2
وَالْقُرْءَانِwal-qur'āni
By the Quran
الْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmi
the Wise.
By the wise Quran,
3
إِنَّكَinnaka
Indeed, you
لَمِنَlamina
(are) among
الْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīna
the Messengers,
you [Muhammad] are truly one of the mes-sengers sent
4
عَلَىʿalā
On
صِرَاطٍṣirāṭin
a Path
مُسْتَقِيمٍmus'taqīmin
Straight.
on a straight path,
5
تَنْزِيلَtanzīla
A revelation
الْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi
(of) the All-Mighty,
الرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful,
with a revelation from the Almighty, the Lord of Mercy,
6
لِتُنْذِرَlitundhira
That you may warn
قَوْمًاqawman
a people
مَاmā
not
أُنْذِرَundhira
were warned
ءَابَاؤُهُمْābāuhum
their forefathers,
فَهُمْfahum
so they
غَافِلُونَghāfilūna
(are) heedless.
to warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, and so they are unaware.

لَقَدْlaqad
Certainly,
حَقَّḥaqqa
(has) proved true
الْقَوْلُl-qawlu
the word
عَلَىʿalā
upon
أَكْثَرِهِمْaktharihim
most of them
فَهُمْfahum
so they
لَاlā
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna
believe.
The verdict has been passed against most of them, for they refuse to believe.

إِنَّاinnā
Indeed, We
جَعَلْنَاjaʿalnā
[We] have placed
فِيfī
on
أَعْنَاقِهِمْaʿnāqihim
their necks
أَغْلَالًاaghlālan
iron collars,
فَهِيَfahiya
and they
إِلَىilā
(are up) to
الْأَذْقَانِl-adhqāni
the chins,
فَهُمْfahum
so they
مُقْمَحُونَmuq'maḥūna
(are with) heads raised up.
[It is as if] We had placed [iron] collars around their necks, right up to their chins so that their heads are forced up
9
وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnā
And We have made
مِنْmin
before them
بَيْنِbayni
before them
أَيْدِيهِمْaydīhim
before them
سَدًّاsaddan
a barrier
وَمِنْwamin
and behind them
خَلْفِهِمْkhalfihim
and behind them
سَدًّاsaddan
a barrier.
فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْfa-aghshaynāhum
and We covered them,
فَهُمْfahum
so they
لَاlā
(do) not
يُبْصِرُونَyub'ṣirūna
see.
and set barriers before and behind them, blocking their vision: they cannot see.
10
وَسَوَاءٌwasawāon
And it (is) same
عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them
ءَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْa-andhartahum
whether you warn them
أَمْam
or
لَمْlam
(do) not
تُنْذِرْهُمْtundhir'hum
warn them,
لَاlā
not
يُؤْمِنُونَyu'minūna
they will believe.
It is all the same to them whether you warn them or not: they will not believe.
