Ha Meem.

تَنْزِيلُtanzīlu
(The) revelation
الْكِتَابِl-kitābi
(of) the Book
مِنَmina
(is) from
اللَّهِl-lahi
Allah
الْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi
the All-Mighty,
الْحَكِيمِl-ḥakīmi
the All-Wise
This Scripture is sent down from God, the Almighty, the Wise.

مَاmā
Not
خَلَقْنَاkhalaqnā
We created
السَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti
the heavens
وَالْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth
وَمَاwamā
and what
بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā
(is) between both of them
إِلَّاillā
except
بِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi
in truth
وَأَجَلٍwa-ajalin
and (for) a term
مُسَمًّىmusamman
appointed.
وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīna
But those who
كَفَرُواkafarū
disbelieve,
عَمَّاʿammā
from what
أُنْذِرُواundhirū
they are warned,
مُعْرِضُونَmuʿ'riḍūna
(are) turning away.
It was for a true purpose and a specific term that We created heaven and earth and everything in between, yet those who deny the truth ignore the warning they have been given.

قُلْqul
Say,
أَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytum
"Do you see
مَاmā
what
تَدْعُونَtadʿūna
you call
مِنْmin
besides
دُونِdūni
besides
اللَّهِl-lahi
Allah?
أَرُونِيarūnī
Show me
مَاذَاmādhā
what
خَلَقُواkhalaqū
they have created
مِنَmina
of
الْأَرْضِl-arḍi
the earth
أَمْam
or
لَهُمْlahum
for them
شِرْكٌshir'kun
(is) any share
فِيfī
in
السَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti
the heavens?
ائْتُونِيi'tūnī
Bring me
بِكِتَابٍbikitābin
a book
مِنْmin
before
قَبْلِqabli
before
هَذَاhādhā
this
أَوْaw
or
أَثَارَةٍathāratin
traces
مِنْmin
of
عِلْمٍʿil'min
knowledge,
إِنْin
if
كُنْتُمْkuntum
you are
صَادِقِينَṣādiqīna
truthful."
Say [Prophet], ‘Consider those you pray to other than God: show me which part of the earth they created or which share of the heavens they own; bring me a previous scripture or some vestige of divine knowledge––if what you say is true.’

وَمَنْwaman
And who
أَضَلُّaḍallu
(is) more astray
مِمَّنْmimman
than (he) who
يَدْعُواyadʿū
calls
مِنْmin
besides
دُونِdūni
besides
اللَّهِl-lahi
Allah,
مَنْman
who
لَاlā
will not respond
يَسْتَجِيبُyastajību
will not respond
لَهُlahu
to him
إِلَىilā
until
يَوْمِyawmi
(the) Day
الْقِيَامَةِl-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection,
وَهُمْwahum
and they
عَنْʿan
of
دُعَائِهِمْduʿāihim
their calls
غَافِلُونَghāfilūna
(are) unaware.
Who could be more wrong than a person who calls on those other than God, those who will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, those who are unaware of his prayers,

وَإِذَاwa-idhā
And when
حُشِرَḥushira
are gathered
النَّاسُl-nāsu
the people,
كَانُواkānū
they will be
لَهُمْlahum
for them
أَعْدَاءًaʿdāan
enemies
وَكَانُواwakānū
and they will be
بِعِبَادَتِهِمْbiʿibādatihim
of their worship
كَافِرِينَkāfirīna
deniers.
those who, when all mankind is gathered, will become his enemies and disown his worship?

وَإِذَاwa-idhā
And when
تُتْلَىtut'lā
are recited
عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhim
to them
ءَايَاتُنَاāyātunā
Our Verses
بَيِّنَاتٍbayyinātin
clear,
قَالَqāla
say
الَّذِينَalladhīna
those who
كَفَرُواkafarū
disbelieve
لِلْحَقِّlil'ḥaqqi
of the truth
لَمَّاlammā
when
جَاءَهُمْjāahum
it comes to them,
هَذَاhādhā
"This
سِحْرٌsiḥ'run
(is) a magic
مُبِينٌmubīnun
clear."
When Our revelations are recited to them in all their clarity, the disbelievers say of the Truth that has reached them, ‘This is clearly sorcery,’

أَمْam
Or
يَقُولُونَyaqūlūna
they say,
افْتَرَاهُif'tarāhu
"He has invented it."
قُلْqul
Say,
إِنِini
"If
افْتَرَيْتُهُif'taraytuhu
I have invented it
فَلَاfalā
then not
تَمْلِكُونَtamlikūna
you have power
لِيlī
for me
مِنَmina
against
اللَّهِl-lahi
Allah
شَيْئًاshayan
anything.
هُوَhuwa
He
أَعْلَمُaʿlamu
knows best
بِمَاbimā
of what
تُفِيضُونَtufīḍūna
you utter
فِيهِfīhi
concerning it.
كَفَىkafā
Sufficient is He
بِهِbihi
Sufficient is He
شَهِيدًاshahīdan
(as) a Witness
بَيْنِيbaynī
between me
وَبَيْنَكُمْwabaynakum
and between you,
وَهُوَwahuwa
and He
الْغَفُورُl-ghafūru
(is) the Oft-Forgiving,
الرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful.
or they say, ‘He has invented it himself.’ Say [Prophet], ‘If I have really invented it, there is nothing you can do to save me from God. He knows best what you say amongst yourselves about it; He is sufficient as a witness between me and you; He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.’

قُلْqul
Say,
مَاmā
"Not
كُنْتُkuntu
I am
بِدْعًاbid'ʿan
a new (one)
مِنَmina
among
الرُّسُلِl-rusuli
the Messengers
وَمَاwamā
and not
أَدْرِيadrī
I know
مَاmā
what
يُفْعَلُyuf'ʿalu
will be done
بِيbī
with me
وَلَاwalā
and not
بِكُمْbikum
with you.
إِنْin
Not
أَتَّبِعُattabiʿu
I follow
إِلَّاillā
but
مَاmā
what
يُوحَىyūḥā
is revealed
إِلَيَّilayya
to me
وَمَاwamā
and not
أَنَاanā
I am
إِلَّاillā
but
نَذِيرٌnadhīrun
a warner
مُبِينٌmubīnun
clear."
Say, ‘I am nothing new among God’s messengers. I do not know what will be done with me or you; I only follow what is revealed to me; I only warn plainly.’

قُلْqul
Say,
أَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytum
"Do you see
إِنْin
if
كَانَkāna
it is
مِنْmin
from Allah
عِنْدِʿindi
from Allah
اللَّهِl-lahi
from Allah
وَكَفَرْتُمْwakafartum
and you disbelieve
بِهِbihi
in it,
وَشَهِدَwashahida
and testifies
شَاهِدٌshāhidun
a witness
مِنْmin
from
بَنِيbanī
(the) Children of Israel
إِسْرَاءِيلَis'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel
عَلَىʿalā
to
مِثْلِهِmith'lihi
(the) like thereof,
فَءَامَنَfaāmana
then he believed
وَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْwa-is'takbartum
while you are arrogant?"
إِنَّinna
Indeed,
اللَّهَl-laha
Allah
لَاlā
(does) not
يَهْدِيyahdī
guide
الْقَوْمَl-qawma
the people
الظَّالِمِينَl-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers.
Say, ‘Have you thought: what if this Quran really is from God and you reject it? What if one of the Children of Israel testifies to its similarity [to earlier scripture] and believes in it, and yet you are too proud to [do the same]? God certainly does not guide evildoers.’
