of what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna
you do
بَصِيرٌbaṣīrun
(is) All-Seer.
It is He who created you, yet some of you disbelieve and some believe: God sees everything you do.
3
خَلَقَkhalaqa
He created
السَّمَاوَاتِl-samāwāti
the heavens
وَالْأَرْضَwal-arḍa
and the earth
بِالْحَقِّbil-ḥaqi
with truth,
وَصَوَّرَكُمْwaṣawwarakum
and He formed you
فَأَحْسَنَfa-aḥsana
and made good
صُوَرَكُمْṣuwarakum
your forms,
وَإِلَيْهِwa-ilayhi
and to Him
الْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru

بِذَاتِbidhāti

يَأْتِكُمْyatikum
come to you
نَبَؤُاnaba-u
(the) news
الَّذِينَalladhīna
(of) those who
كَفَرُواkafarū
disbelieved
مِنْmin
before?
قَبْلُqablu
before?
فَذَاقُواfadhāqū
So they tasted
وَبَالَwabāla

أَمْرِهِمْamrihim
(of) their affair,
وَلَهُمْwalahum
and for them
عَذَابٌʿadhābun
(is) a punishment

painful.
[Disbelievers], have you not heard about those who disbelieved before you? They tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and a painful torment awaits them.
6
ذَلِكَdhālika
That
بِأَنَّهُbi-annahu
(is) because
كَانَتْkānat
had
تَأْتِيهِمْtatīhim
come to them
رُسُلُهُمْrusuluhum
their Messengers
بِالْبَيِّنَاتِbil-bayināti
with clear proofs,
فَقَالُواfaqālū
but they said,
أَبَشَرٌabasharun
"Shall human beings
يَهْدُونَنَاyahdūnanā
guide us?"
فَكَفَرُواfakafarū
So they disbelieved
وَتَوَلَّوْاwatawallaw
and turned away.
وَاسْتَغْنَىwa-is'taghnā
And Allah can do without them.
اللَّهُl-lahu
And Allah can do without them.
وَاللَّهُwal-lahu
And Allah
غَنِيٌّghaniyyun
(is) Self-sufficient,
حَمِيدٌḥamīdun
Praiseworthy.
That is because their messengers came to them with clear signs, yet they said, ‘Should we take guidance from mere mortals?’, rejected the message, and turned away. But God had no need for them: He is all sufficient, worthy of all praise.

will they be raised.
قُلْqul
Say,
بَلَىbalā
"Yes,
وَرَبِّيwarabbī
by my Lord,
لَتُبْعَثُنَّlatub'ʿathunna
surely you will be raised;
ثُمَّthumma
then
لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّlatunabba-unna
surely you will be informed
بِمَاbimā
of what
عَمِلْتُمْʿamil'tum
you did.
وَذَلِكَwadhālika
And that
عَلَىʿalā
for
اللَّهِl-lahi
Allah
يَسِيرٌyasīrun
(is) easy."
The disbelievers claim they will not be raised from the dead. Say [Prophet], ‘Yes indeed! I swear by my Lord! You will be raised and then you will be informed about everything you have done: an easy matter for God.’
8
فَءَامِنُواfaāminū
So believe
بِاللَّهِbil-lahi
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِwarasūlihi
and His Messenger
وَالنُّورِwal-nūri
and the Light
الَّذِيalladhī
which
أَنْزَلْنَاanzalnā
We have sent down.

And Allah,
بِمَاbimā
of what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūna
you do,
خَبِيرٌkhabīrun

صَالِحًاṣāliḥan
righteous deeds
يُكَفِّرْyukaffir
He will remove
عَنْهُʿanhu
from
سَيِّئَاتِهِsayyiātihi
his evil deeds
وَيُدْخِلْهُwayud'khil'hu
and He will admit him
جَنَّاتٍjannātin
(to) Gardens
تَجْرِيtajrī
flow
مِنْmin
from
تَحْتِهَاtaḥtihā
underneath it
الْأَنْهَارُl-anhāru
the rivers,
خَالِدِينَkhālidīna
abiding
فِيهَاfīhā
therein
أَبَدًاabadan
forever.
ذَلِكَdhālika
That
الْفَوْزُl-fawzu
(is) the success
الْعَظِيمُl-ʿaẓīmu
the great.
When He gathers you for the Day of Gathering, the Day of mutual neglect, He will cancel the sins of those who believed in Him and acted righteously: He will admit them into Gardens graced with flowing streams, there to remain for ever- the supreme triumph.
10
وَالَّذِينَwa-alladhīna
But those who
كَفَرُواkafarū
disbelieved
وَكَذَّبُواwakadhabū
and denied
بِءَايَاتِنَاbiāyātinā
[in] Our Verses,
أُولَئِكَulāika
those
أَصْحَابُaṣḥābu
(are the) companions
النَّارِl-nāri
(of) the Fire,
خَالِدِينَkhālidīna
abiding forever
فِيهَاfīhā
therein.
وَبِئْسَwabi'sa
And wretched is
الْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru
the destination.
But those who disbelieved and rejected Our signs will be the inhabitants of the Fire, there to remain- a miserable destination.
