Az-Zalzalah

1

إِذَاidhā
When
زُلْزِلَتِzul'zilati
is shaken
الْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth
زِلْزَالَهَاzil'zālahā
(with) its earthquake,

2

وَأَخْرَجَتِwa-akhrajati
And brings forth
الْأَرْضُl-arḍu
the earth
أَثْقَالَهَاathqālahā
its burdens,

3

وَقَالَwaqāla
And says
الْإِنْسَانُl-insānu
man,
مَاmā
"What
لَهَاlahā
(is) with it?"

4

يَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhin
That Day,
تُحَدِّثُtuḥaddithu
it will report
أَخْبَارَهَاakhbārahā
its news,

5

بِأَنَّbi-anna
Because
رَبَّكَrabbaka
your Lord
أَوْحَىawḥā
inspired
لَهَاlahā
[to] it.

6

يَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhin
That Day
يَصْدُرُyaṣduru
will proceed
النَّاسُl-nāsu
the mankind
أَشْتَاتًاashtātan
(in) scattered groups
لِيُرَوْاliyuraw
to be shown
أَعْمَالَهُمْaʿmālahum
their deeds.

فَمَنْfaman
So whoever
يَعْمَلْyaʿmal
does
مِثْقَالَmith'qāla
(equal to the) weight
ذَرَّةٍdharratin
(of) an atom
خَيْرًاkhayran
good,
يَرَهُyarahu
will see it,

8

وَمَنْwaman
And whoever
يَعْمَلْyaʿmal
does
مِثْقَالَmith'qāla
(equal to the) weight
ذَرَّةٍdharratin
(of) an atom
شَرًّاsharran
evil,
يَرَهُyarahu
will see it.
